Souzian Dispatch is a media outlet covering Middle Eastern cinema, documentary films, and film festivals around the world.
It follows films, filmmakers, festivals, and cultural stories connected to the Middle East and its artists, both inside the region and across the global festival circuit.
The publication focuses on festival news, film selections, filmmaker interviews, open calls, awards, and stories that often remain outside the main international film conversation.
Souzian Dispatch is created and edited by Abbas Souzian, a documentary film distributor and cultural journalist.
Abbas is the founder of Souzian, a global documentary film distribution company working to connect films from the Middle East with festivals, broadcasters, universities, platforms, and audiences around the world.
This publication grew out of that work. While following festivals, submissions, markets, and filmmakers, Abbas began collecting news and opportunities that were useful not only for distribution, but also for filmmakers, programmers, journalists, and people who care about cinema from the region.
